Small technical glitch 1 Reply

Happy New Year to all at United Prosperity!!!Let's hope that 2014 will see a little less poverty in the world than 2013!I just noted a minor technical glitch - when sorting guarantees by "Funds Remaining & Champion" and then clicking on a page other than the first page that comes up, the following error message comes up:We're sorry, but something went wrong.Continue

Please use the money in your account 4 Replies

Could someone please write a more positive letter? I seem to get these emails every month.I shouldn't be made to feel guilty about having money in my account, most of which was returned to me over a long period where there were no guarantees which could be made. How about accenting the positive by sending profiles of someone requiring the money, and pointing out I can fund from my credits?Continue

New group for lenders on Facebook 1 Reply

Hi Folks,Here is an update. We have started a Facebook Group for the lenders. Though we already have a platform here (Ning Forum) to interact, we aim to reach wider audience and increase the interaction by using popular social networking website - Facebook. Impact of poverty on cognition and the brain

New research seems to indicate that being in poverty taxes the brain almost to the tune of a loss of 13 IQ points, or comparable to the cognitive difference that’s been observed between chronic alcoholics and normal adults. While it is hard to understand what difference 13 IQ points make, but the cognitive difference between chronic alcoholics and normal adults seems very huge indeed -  …Continue

Repayment Terms 1 Reply

Extrapolating from the repayments that have been listed so far, the loans I have helped guarantee through UP all appear to be repaying on a cycle that will be several months longer than the 18 months listed. Is this widespread among UP loans? What is the cause and what is the impact on the borrowing entrepreneurs? Thanks, Paul Continue

Loans fully repaid! 2 Replies

I just looked under the "Impact" tab of the UnitedProsperity.org website, and saw that a large number of early guarantees/loans have now been fully repaid, which is really good to see!!! While the issues affecting the microfiannce sector in India are out of the control of United Prosperity management, it is to the credit of the UP team that the re-paymetns are coming in, and it seems they are coming in very consistently, reflecting positively on…Continue

Artificial leaves don’t look like the real thing, but they may accomplish the same feat: producing fuel from sunlight.

An interesting article in the NY Times about a new fuel source. The aim is to provide this to the poor of the world.  http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/22/business/22novel.html?ref=science   Ken.Continue

Prosperity 8 Replies

I understand there is currently a hold on further funding. This should not stop us from helping those who can and will better themselves if they are given the chance to. I watched a video how a simple solar panel can change the lives of a family and and entire village. Also how a simple insect net can help the health of millions of our fellow humans. I believe United Prosperity is more than micro loans but it can be a source of cheap inexpensive insect nets and solar panels that then can be…Continue
