I have just created a new group "Every Guarantee - Every Time". The basic motivation for that groups is similar to this one's - i.e. encourage regular guaranteeing. However, while this one come more from providing "regular" guarantees, which would assist management of UP, with Every Guarantee - Every Time" the aim is to generate more guarantee activity, which currently appears to be rather sluggish.

Yes, the effects of climate change are already visible in several parts. The impact of that on the poor is going to be even more dramatic.

Correction! The weatherman confirmed that it was 42 degrees yesterday - I thought it was hot...

Not sure how it feels from Canadian perspective, but with multiple heat waves and bushfires raging across the country, one can only dispair at the lack of resolve in Copenhagen...

Hi Peter

I work for the Dark Side - i.e I am a financial analyst working on small cap stocks listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Not so sure if I can get my colleagues fired up about that social justice thing - but I will try - especially now that we have gift certificates at our disposal...

Every time when you mention the cold weather, we are having absolute stinkers here in Sydney (must be 35+ degrees today). I just had a shower, but it feels like my pores are trying to rid my body of the very last drop of perspiration...

Confirming placement of my regular guarantee amount for December... a bit less than last month - I had to take a small salary cut - I hope it will be steady going forward...

Logo - good idea. If you know of anything, please put it in, or forward it to me and I'll put it in.

Many many organizations LOVE regular donations as then they have some confidence about the minimum resources they will have to work with.

This could easily become a 50+ member group, I know a lot of members who do guarantees regularly but have not joined the group.

I think we need a nice logo for the group which shows regularity - maybe a a calendar or the 'sun and the moon'.

I think 'regulars' sounds great. Some months we put money into UP for operational expenses. We skip on guarantees that month. But the regular's concept gives us the flexibility.
